AN INVITATION TO GENEROSITY AND GREATNESS!!

by : Sonia Morales

The University of the Immaculate Conception is inviting all alumnae and patrons to participate in a one-time chance to proprietorship of valuable art collections, sponsored by the UIC Scholarship Foundation, in collaboration with the RBN Scholarship Program. The UIC is relying mainly on the generous support of both alumnae and other interested individuals inflamed with the desire for education for all.

In its desire to augment the University’s Scholarship Foundation which was initially started and established by M. Ma. Assumpta David, RVM, one of the Foundation’s generous benefactors, Mrs. Rhodora Bendigo-Nograles has partnered with the UIC for the second time in a fund-raising activity entitled, “Seventeen Artworks to UIC: An Art Today, a Treasure Tomorrow Part II,” with the aim of helping, from its proceeds, deserving but economically challenged students to gain quality Christian education at the UIC. Proceeds from the sale of the published artworks will be used to add to the present coffers of the Foundation’s scholarship which has produced 136 college graduates to date. The first partnership between the UIC Scholarship Foundation and the RBN Scholarship Program was in 2003. A decade after the first partnership, on December 8, 2013, the second endeavor was forged which now included in its mission scholarships not only to deserving college students but also to deserving but economically challenged high school students. A donation of P500.00 entitles you to one raffle ticket, the first draw of which will be on June 16, 2014, the 2nd Death Anniversary of M. Ma. Assumpta David, RVM, on whose honor this scholarship fund drive is being offered while the second draw will be on December 8, 2014, the Feast of the Immaculate Conception and the annual Alumni Homecoming, to be held both at the UIC Auditorium.
