UIC ROARS SUCCESS IN THE FOREIGN PHARMACY EXAM

A total of twenty Six (26 B.S. Pharmacy major in Clinical Pharmacy graduates of the University of the Immaculate Conception from three batches hurdle the Foreign Pharmacy Examination in USA.

Their enhanced knowledge in pharmaceutical care fortified by evidenced-based innovation in their curriculum is in compliance with the compulsory competencies required by American Colleges in Clinical Pharmacy or ACCP. This is the 12th year, UIC had been successful in allowing their graduates to acquire one of the requirements of a pharmacist intern in the USA.

This success is supported by the administration’s zealous efforts to equip their faculty with needed expertise through its faculty development program by sending them to a series of five summit conferences with ACCP. Just recently, two of the faculty members had a sectoral engagement for a month with Monash University and Hospital in Melbourne, Australia in pharmaceutical care.

From batch 2015 a 100% (10 out of 10) passing rate roared. They took the Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Equivalency Examination (FPGEE) in the different states of the US.

Successful examinees are as follows:

FILIPINA T. LLACER

GLIANNE A. MANABAT
RANI MARIE G. VENTURINA
VALERIE MAE C. MARTINEZ

All efforts are being made to review, enhance and improve this innovated curriculum. UIC never tires to supplement the quality education with recent updates in pharmacotherapy and pharmacovigilance. UIC has the end in mind to see to it that all its graduates in B.S. Pharmacy major in Clinical Pharmacy serve the patient and the clientele with utmost pharmaceutical care and vigilance.
