» UIC Celebrates Variety in Research Forum 2013

The University of the Immaculate Conception through its Research and Publication Center held a research forum for 2013 on October 8 at AVR 1, Assumption Building, Bonifacio Campus. Tagged as Research Forum 2013 with theme Research Intersection: Touching Human Lives through Scientific Thinking and Learning, the activity was highlighted by the unveiling of 6 discipline-specific journals, namely, The Ledger (ABA), Arete (LA & Educ), Cloud (ITE), Root Gatherers (Pharmacy), Pulsar (Engineering) and Optima (MLS & Nursing) and the launching of UIC Research Journal-International Edition.  more »

» ITE, LA, Pharmacy, MLS Faculty Join Higher Education Regional Research Congress

Seven faculty members from the University of the Immaculate Conception participated in the Higher Education Regional Research Congress on November 20, 2013 at San Pedro College, Davao City. ITE faculty represented by Exander T. Barrios and Kristine Mae M. Adlaon qualified in paper presentations while Eric John G. Emberda got enlisted in poster exhibits together with the two LA faculty Maureen D. Aguisando and Virgion H. Mamonong. On the other hand, Ferlien Mae G. Baula and John Mark K. de Real, from the Health programs, were also among the oral presenters of the parallel sessions.  more »

» UIC Hosts Graduate Research Colloquium 2nd of the Series, 14 UIC Faculty Researchers Participate

In coordination with the UIC Research and Publication Center and Graduate School, the Graduate Research Colloquium Series No. 2 was successfully held on September 7, 2013 at AVR 1 of the University of the Immaculate Conception. The activity is a collaboration of the three HEIs in Davao City, namely, University of Mindanao (UM), Holy Cross of Davao College, Inc. (HCDC) and University of the Immaculate Conception (UIC). Then papaers (4 from UIC, 5 from UM and 1 from HCDC) and 20 posters (10 from UM and 10 from UIC) of multidisciplinary streams were showcased in the event.   more »

» UIC RPC Director wins Best Critiquing in NAST Research Performance Evaluation Workshop

The UIC Research and Publication Center Director Dr. Renan Limjuco bagged the Best Critiquing Prize at he Regional Training Workshop on Research Performance Evaluation conducted by the Department of Science and Technology - national Academy of Science and Technology, Philippines (DOST-NAST PHL) at the Pinnacle Hotel, Davao City, August 14-15, 2013.  more »
